Why I wanted to compare TVS vs ZGS player stats
So yesterday my buddy kept arguing TVS players were way better than ZGS in recent tournaments. I got tired of this “trust me bro” talk and decided to actually check the numbers myself. My goal? Find the simplest tool to compare them head-to-head without needing a stats degree.
First try: Big Name Sports Site Disaster
Went straight to this famous sports stats page everybody uses. Typed in TVS vs ZGS match data search – boom! Got zero results. Refreshed three times, still nothing. Their search bar might as well have been a decoration. Then I tried clicking through 5 different menus like “Player Performance” and “Team Analytics”. Guess what? Found stats for potato farming in Idaho but not my players. Total waste of 20 minutes.
Second attempt: That App Everyone Talks About
Downloaded that trending sports app my nephew uses. Looked slick at first! Scrolled past 10 ads before I could even type player names. Finally found TVS stats buried under “Advanced Metrics” tab – nice charts but zero option to compare with ZGS players. Tried screenshotting both teams stats to compare manually. My phone gallery looked like a toddler glued random numbers together. Uninstalled before it gave me an aneurysm.
Lightbulb moment: Spreadsheet Rescue
At this point I’m annoyed. Went old school: Google Sheets. Here’s what actually worked:
- Made two columns: TVS players left, ZGS players right
- Pasted kill/death ratios from official tournament sites
- Added win rates using simple =AVERAGE formula
- Highlighted cells red/green for quick visual comparison
Took under 10 minutes. Suddenly clear as day – ZGS actually had better stats in last 3 matches except for sniper kills where TVS destroyed. Sent screenshot to my buddy and shut his argument down.
My tool verdict now
All these “smart” tools overcomplicate simple stats. Unless you’re getting paid to analyze, just use:
- Tournament organizer sites for raw numbers
- Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel for side-by-side view
- Basic math like averages
Sweaty keyboard warriors love making stats complicated to sound smart. Real ones know simple wins. Spreadsheets never lie!
