So I was watching this crazy match between BSH and MIB last Tuesday night, pizza grease all over my keyboard. After that insane overtime finish, I really wanted to know who actually carried each team. Stats don’t lie right? Grabbed my cold coffee and started poking around.
Finding The Right Player Data
First thing – where to pull numbers? Official league site has stats but buried deep. Took me like 20 minutes clicking through menus before finding last five matches tab. Almost threw my mouse when the page timed out twice. Finally got to BSH vs MIB match stats section around midnight.

- BSH’s GhostKiller for accuracy stats
- MIB’s TankEngine for healing numbers
- Both teams’ damage dealers obviously
Spreadsheet Mess
Opened Excel and started typing numbers manually like some caveman. Made three mistakes typing 78% as 87% for GhostKiller. Had to triple-check everything. Created color codes – green for top performers, red for underachievers. Took forever but finally saw patterns jumping out.
Here’s what surprised me:
- MIB’s rookie support BlueJay actually outhealed their main healer
- BSH’s tank had crazy blocking numbers but nobody noticed
- GhostKiller’s late game accuracy dropped hard (tired maybe?)
Making Sense Of It
Straight numbers look boring so I calculated percentages change from their season averages. TankEngine’s performance shocked me – 40% more healing than usual but still lost! Poor guy got zero support from damage players. Started highlighting standout players in yellow marker.
Final spreadsheet looked like rainbow puke but showed clear MVPs:

Published the stats on my blog Wednesday morning. Got like twenty comments arguing about BlueJay being MVP over TankEngine. Stats started conversations! Might do this for all weekend matches now. Just need more coffee first.
