Digging Up Stats Got Messy
Okay so I saw people arguing online about which team’s players were better – FT or Kin Xi. Figured I’d actually check their stats myself instead of guessing. Grabbed coffee first, always need fuel for data battles.
Hunting Down Numbers
Started with official league sites. Realized Kin Xi’s defender stats weren’t updated since last season. Like why? Then checked social media pages – found three different numbers for FT’s striker goals depending on where I looked. Absolute mess. Wasted two hours double-checking sources before writing anything down.
My Spreadsheet Nightmare
Made a comparison table for key players. Things got wild when:
- Kin Xi’s midfielder played for two teams this season so assists were split
- FT’s keeper stats included friendlies which nobody else did
- Both teams counted “key passes” differently (come on people!)
Had to color-code inconsistencies like a crazy person. Highlighted yellows everywhere.
What Jumped Out
After fixing the mess:
- FT’s forwards shoot more but miss way more (like 30% more, ouch)
- Kin Xi’s defense makes fewer tackles but way more interceptions
- Both captains play full 90min every game (machines!)
Biggest shock? FT’s “star” player has worst pass accuracy on the team. Fans won’t like that.
Lessons Learned
Stats never lie but people record them like drunk toddlers. Next time:
- Triple-check every source before comparing
- Make notes EXACTLY where numbers came from
- Never trust “official” pages without dates
Still worth it though. Now when folks argue I just slap them with cold spreadsheet facts.
