Some pages said it was happening at one place, others said another. Couldn’t find a damn start time that matched either. Felt like chasing my own tail. Ended up clicking on five, six different links. Waste of time.

Got pissed off. Thought, screw this, go right to the official county cricket site. Should be straightforward, yeah? Website looked like it hadn’t been updated since last season. Menu navigation was damn confusing. Clicked ‘Fixtures’, scrolled forever. Eyes glazed over. Finally spotted it, buried halfway down some list:

Finally! Clear info. Copied that straight into my notes app. Should’ve started here, saved myself ten minutes of aggravation.

Okay, got the basics. Now, what about who wins? Pure guesswork, honestly. Looked at India’s lineup – strong, obviously. Big international names. Then Derbyshire? County side. Young players mostly. Bit nervous.
Checked the weather report – Derby looking cloudy. Could swing the ball maybe? Helps bowlers. But India’s batters are just too damn good usually.

Opened up my writing app. Pasted the venue/time details I fought so hard to get. Wrote up a little intro saying how finding info was harder than expected. Added my prediction bit about India winning easy. Kept it short, didn’t ramble. Hit “Preview”.
Read it over. Seemed decent. Plain, clear. Just told folks where it was, when to tune in, and who I thought would smash it. Saved the draft. Done.
Neighbor Drama Interrupts
Right as I finished? Boom! Loud banging next door. Sounded like my neighbors were throwing furniture. Or each other. Shouting match kicking off again. Couldn’t focus for crap after that. Stared at the screen for a minute trying to ignore it, but nah. Just saved everything and shut the laptop. Maybe add a final polish later when they stop yelling. Bloody typical.
